You’re not alone—there are people who care deeply about you.
Even on tough days, you are still growing.

Meet the Team
-

Margaret
Margaret trained as a General Nurse in her youth and progressed to Maternity Nursing several years later, using her lived experience of childbirth trauma having given birth to two premature babies.
-

Kevin
Kevin lived a life of drink and drug addiction from the age of 14 through to 50 years of age. Kevin now leads a more positive and happier life working part time as a Peer Support & Wellbeing Worker.
-

Tilly
My job is to let other members of the team know when the courier arrives to collect Soothebox parcels. For this, I’m rewarded with carrots which makes me very happy!
-

Daisy
My job is to ignore anything and everything that is asked of me, unless it’s food related. I like not doing as I’m asked, apparently it’s the Basset Hound part of me that makes me stubborn!
About the team at Soothebox
Co-founders of Soothebox, Kevin and Margaret have spent much of their lives dedicated to caring for others. With around 40 years of combined experience supporting people through trauma, recovery, and mental health challenges, their work has always centred around compassion and connection.
Margaret has supported families of newborns and young children in both the UK and Canada, especially parents experiencing Postnatal Depression. With more than 20 years working in this field, including 10 years as a nurse, she has walked alongside countless families during some of their most vulnerable moments, offering reassurance, understanding, and hope.
Kevin has devoted many years to mental health support, and continues to work part-time as a Peer Support and Wellbeing Worker for people transitioning back into everyday life after time in mental health services. His personal journey—overcoming a long history of drug and alcohol addiction—now fuels his mission to help others feel less alone and more empowered in their own recovery.
Together, Margaret and Kevin believe deeply in the importance of nurturing emotional wellbeing. Their lived experiences with mental health struggles, trauma, and healing have shaped their compassion and strengthened their commitment to helping others find comfort and calm in the moments they need it most.
Through Soothebox, they hope to reach anyone who may be struggling—offering not just thoughtfully curated tools for self-care, but also free, regular self-help blogs filled with encouragement, guidance, and gentle support. Their goal is simple: to make sure that no one has to face difficult times without a little extra care by their side.
Both Kevin and Margaret are proof that no matter the size of the challenge of not living the best life, happiness and mental helth success can be achieved with the right tools in place.
